Vistara Primary School was established in 1987. It is a not for profit, Independent Primary School and is located in the lush subtropical area of North Coast of New South Wales, Australia, also known as Bundjalung Country.
Vistara Primary School’s guiding philosophy is P.R. Sarkar’s Neo Humanist Education which is based on the understanding of the deep interconnectedness between self, others and the natural environment.
The daily practice of meditation, yoga
and a vegetarian diet is an important
and integral part of this education.
Neo Humanist principles are
integrated into the National
Curriculum and the New
South Wales Board of
Vistara students are
making the world a
better place and they
endeavour to do this
through their learning,
participating in a variety
of service projects, the creative
arts as well as their daily interactions
